Lasermax Roll Systems UK Marks 20 Year Anniversary
Swindon (12 June 2006) – Lasermax Roll Systems Ltd. of Swindon, Wiltshire is celebrating their 20th anniversary in the United Kingdom. Originally the Lasermax division of Stralfors AB (headquartered in Ljungby, Sweden), the company became Lasermax Roll Systems after the merger between Lasermax and former competitor Roll Systems in September 2004.
“After our merger with Roll Systems, we’re even better positioned than in the past to provide a full scope of feeding and finishing solutions for high speed digital printers,” said Andrew James, managing director of Lasermax Roll Systems Ltd. “For example, we are now able to offer the DocuSheeter line of roll feed systems for high speed cut sheet digital printers.”
Brian Hough, site manager with The Astron Group, commented on the 15-year relationship that he has enjoyed with Lasermax Roll Systems. “Lasermax Roll Systems has been a very reliable business partner over the years. And they’re not resting on their laurels; they've produced equipment that addresses not just the present but also the future needs of our business, as they showed at the recent IPEX.”
Lasermax Roll Systems participated prominently in the IPEX show in Birmingham, exhibiting in multiple locations. In its own stand, Lasermax Roll Systems showed the LX Roll-to-Roll System, which unwinds and rewinds rolls for high-speed continuous digital printers at speeds up to 500 ft/min. Also shown at the Lasermax Roll Systems stand was the RSC7 Cutter, which offers several in-line converting options such as hole punch and a strip cut/gutter cut combination for pre-printed full bleed sheets. The DocuSheeter iG roll feed system for the Xerox iGen3 digital color printer was shown at the Xerox stand, along with the LX Saddle Stitch in-line binding solution. At the Nipson stand, another in-line finishing solution, the LX Signature Fold, was shown on a Nipson VaryPress 200.
The Astron Group is a leading provider of integrated, end-to-end document business processing outsourcing solutions. Huntingdon-based Astron is part of the RR Donnelley & Sons Company.
