Lasermax Roll Systems Stacks Up at On Demand 2006
Philadelphia, PA (May 16, 2006) - Lasermax Roll Systems’ cut and stack solutions highlighted the company’s exhibits at the On Demand Conference and Exhibition in Philadelphia, held May 16 - 18. The company’s solutions in digital web printer feeding and finishing for both print-on-demand and transaction processing will be on display across the show floor.
At the Lasermax Roll Systems booth (#3031) an RS Stack system is cutting and stacking 3-up book blocks. The RS Stack shown includes Precise Page Offset Option, which enables side-by-side processing of independent multi-up book streams of varying lengths without wasting paper from the addition of pad pages. Other available options include three-hole punch for ring binder applications and a strip cut/gutter cut combination to create full-bleed sheets from pre-printed forms.
Also in the Lasermax Roll Systems booth, an LX Roll-to-Roll is shown in-line with a Web Vision system. LX Roll-to-Roll rewinds rolls printed by digital web printers at speeds up to 500 feet per minute. Web Vision uses cameras to scan in-line the full width of the printed web to capture very large, high-resolution images for multiple types of automated quality analysis. Because Web Vision allows analysis immediately after printing, problems are identified as soon as possible, minimizing the waste of both paper and printer time.
Elsewhere on the show floor, an LX Stack solution cuts and stacks three-up book blocks printed by an Océ VarioStream 7000 printer in the Océ booth (#2800). LX Stack handles paper basis weights as light as 40 gsm, at speeds up to 450 feet per minute.
LX Stack is also being exhibited in the Kodak booth (#1600), providing feeding and finishing to a Kodak Versamark VT3000 printer.
In the Xerox booth (#2100), RS Stack SP is being exhibited with a technology demonstration of a soon-to-be-released Xerox printer. RS Stack SP space-efficiently center slits, cuts, merges and stacks digitally printed sheets.
