Web Vision Quality Assurance System Highlights Lasermax Roll Systems Exhibits at Graph Expo 07

Chicago, IL (September 9, 2007) – Lasermax Roll Systems is exhibiting its Web Vision™ digital quality assurance system in a pair of locations on the Graph Expo floor, at its own booth #2641 and at the InfoPrint Solutions Company booth, #2276.  Using high resolution cameras to scan in-line the full width of digitally printed bills, statements and documents, Web Vision captures very large, high quality images to enable automated analysis of image quality, data integrity and workflow processes.

“We’re excited to show Web Vision, as well as our new Folder, in multiple show booths for the first time ever,” says Jeff Kewin, Lasermax Roll Systems executive vice president, global marketing and business development.  “This is emblematic of the increased recognition in the marketplace that Web Vision is the standard bearer for digital print quality assurance.”

Web Vision is shown in the Lasermax Roll Systems booth in conjunction with the LX Stack cutting and stacking solution for high-speed digital printers.  LX Stack cuts and stacks 1-up, 2-up, 2-up merged or 3-up streams of sheets in basis weights as light as 40 gsm (11# bond).

In another highlight of the Lasermax Roll Systems booth, the new RS Fanfold HS system is producing vertical stacks of fanfolded statements up to 39" high for both long printer and inserter runs with a minimum of operator attention required.  The new RSF5 Folder component of RS Fanfold HS automatically loads pinless or pinfed paper, runs at speeds up to 700 feet per minute, and automatically ejects completed stacks.

In the InfoPrint Solutions Company (IPS) booth, Web Vision is shown with another exhibition of the new Folder, producing a fanfolded trans-promotional application from IPS’s new color printing system, the InfoPrint 5000.

Lasermax Roll Systems products are also exhibited in many other partner booths around the show floor.  In the Océ booth (#655), the DocuSheeter VP6000 roll feed system is being shown for the first time at Graph Expo, on the new Océ VarioPrint® 6250 cut sheet duplex printer. DocuSheeter VP6000 cuts and feed single sheets on demand from a large 50" diameter roll to the VarioPrint 6250. The large rolls run for a shift or more before depleting.  DocuSheeter is equipped with the three-hole punch option, punching the standard three-hole pattern in-line for reduced paper cost.  Also in the Océ booth, an LX Roll-to-Roll provides unwinding and rewinding for an Océ continuous digital printer.

The new DocuSheeter NV roll feed system for the Xerox Nuvera™ 288 Digital Perfecting System is being exhibited in the Xerox booth (#1219).  DocuSheeter NV roll feed is ideal for Xerox Nuvera users running 11 x 17 applications, as its large 50” diameter roll essentially becomes a tray holding nearly 30,000 ledger-sized sheets, further boosting productivity on this high-speed printer.  Also in the Xerox booth, the RS Stack SP cuts and stacks output from Xerox’s new continuous form printer, the Xerox 495.

In the Screen booth (#3801), Screen’s new Truepress Jet520 color inkjet variable printing system is partnered with the LX Roll-to-Roll.

In the Canon booth (#2400), DocuSheeter LS cuts and feeds sheets from jumbo rolls to the Canon imageRUNNER Pro 7150VP.

In the Nipson booth (#2652), an LX Stack cuts and stacks 6x9 book blocks from a Nipson VaryPress 200 SED printer.

Finally, multiple LX550 Unwinds feed BÖWE Bell + Howell inserters in the BÖWE Bell + Howell booth (#600).
