BÖWE SYSTEC Acquires All Shares of Lasermax Roll Systems AB
Augsburg, Germany (July 3, 2007) – BÖWE SYSTEC International GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of BÖWE SYSTEC Aktiengesellschaft, has exercised its call option for 50% of the shares in Lasermax Roll Systems AB, making it the company’s sole shareholder.
With registered offices in the Swedish city of Ljungby and in Burlington, Massachusetts, Lasermax Roll Systems is the world’s leading supplier of pioneering systems in the area of paper pre and post-processing as well as of data conversion and monitoring solutions for digital printers. In fiscal year 2006, Lasermax Roll Systems posted sales in the equivalent sum of approx. EUR 47 million and a clear positive result. The purchase price for the shares acquired is in the equivalent sum of approx. EUR 8.5 million.
The transaction will be effective in July 2007. The investment in LRS will therefore be fully consolidated in the annual financial statements of the BÖWE SYSTEC Group from the second half of 2007, with the shares previously held being shown in the accounts applying the so-called equity method.
